That grace period has been extended until April 20th. Please remember payments can be either mailed, dropped in the 24 hour lock box (in the Galloway Police Department lobby) or at our website www.gtnj.org/payments.• Dog Licenses are typically due by April 1st to avoid late fees. That deadline has been extended until April 30th. Please remember that you can apply online are www.gtnj.org/clerk under the Township Clerk page. We have generated a quick reference guide that is available either on our website or Facebook page (Township of Galloway) that should help you access municipal services. A Message from the Mayor & Council
Published: 18 March 2020 | Written by Leslie Catando | Print | Email | Hits: 13March 17, 2020 FROM:Jim Gorman, MayorMary Crawford, Deputy MayorCouncil Members: Rich Clute, Tony Coppola, Tony DiPietro, Robert Maldonado, Frank Santo Dear Galloway Residents: After careful consirderation and much consultation among the Township Manager, Police Chief, Department Heads and Township Emergency Management personnel, the decision has been made to close the Municipal Complex to the public. This closure began at the close of business on March 17, 2020. In light of current Federal, State and CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, we feel this is a necessary step to aid in the fight against the spread of this virus. While we realize this will cause some inconvenience to our residents, we are committed to maintaining a safe environment for not only for our residents but also our employees. This closure will limit the amount of person to person contact and eliminate the risk of unknown exposure. Our plan is to keep Township employees working during regular business hours and we are committed to maintaining Township services with as little disruption as possible. In addition to the closing of the Municipal Complex, all Township recreation fields, the Senior Center, playgrounds, dog park, etc., will remain closed until further notice. The postponement or cancellation of Township meetings are being considered on a case-by-case basis as the situation evolves. We have decided to extend the grace periods of the current sewer collection period to April 20th. Therefore all payments received prior to April 20th will not be charged interest. We have also extended the grace period on dog licenses to April 30th so that no one is charged a late fee. Additional information will be posted on our website (www.gtnj.org), posted on our face book page and on GTV channel 97 on how to access Township services. Employees are ready to respond to phone calls and emails and will do everything possible to accommodate those in need of Township assistance. Our Police, Fire and EMS will continue to operate as usual. Again, this decision has not been made easily, but we are confident that this is the action necessary to do our part in this situation. We are all committed to keeping everyone safe while also continuing Townshp business with as litle hardship as possible. Please be safe, be kind to one another and keep those vulnerable members of our community safe. Sincerely,Mayor Jim Gorman & Galloway Township Council
