The Galloway Township Council welcomes participation of interested organizations and individuals during regular, as well as, special meetings.  However, in order for the Council to conduct the business of the Township in the most productive manner possible, public comment on specific agenda items, questions comments at the end of regular meetings or during special meetings will be limited to five (5) minutes per person.  If you wish to address the Council, please step up to the microphone at the appropriate time, and state your name.

Resolution & Ordinance Statements:

2031-2020Authorization to exceed the municipal budget appropriation limits & establish a CAP bank

This Ordinance increases the appropriation limit and establishes a cap bank.

2032-2020Authorize acceptance of land donation – Juniper Avenue

This ordinance accepts a donation from Tara Boldon of lot 1 on block 791.

2033-2020Authorize acceptance of land donation – Xanthus Avenue

This ordinance accepts a donation from Thomas & Marjorie Darcy of lot 2.02, block 603.

2034-2020Authorize consent to an assignment of ground lease from Whitman to NJR Clean Energy Ventures III Corporation

This ordinance assigns Whitman’s rights, title, obligations, responsibilities and interests under the ground lease to NJR

086-20 Authorize the release of a sewer lateral escrow account in the amount of $800.00

This resolutions releases escrow account E21-611 submitted for the installation of a lateral located at 113 Crestview Avenue as the project is complete and no further review is necessary.

087-20 Authorize Shared Service agreement w/ ACUA for roll off container

This resolution authorizes a shared services agreement with the ACUA for roll-off container service beginning 5-1-20 through 4-30-25 at a cost of $116.00 per pull plus prevailing per ton tip fee.

088-20 Authorize application & acceptance of 2021 State Pedestrian Safety Grant

This resolution applies and accepts grant funds to be used to fund police extra duty assignments to target pedestrian safety.

089-20 Authorize payment of accrued leave as per collective bargaining agreements

This resolution authorizes payment to Tamara Sleipnes in the amount of $278.48 for accrued holiday time and $2,347.36 to Mateusz Ryba for accrued vacation, compensatory and personal time.

090-20 Authorize  Award of Contract to Neri’s Construction & Rental in the amount of $391,469.00 for Tartaglio Field Sanitary Sewer Extension

This resolution authorizes a contract for the sanitary sewer extension project at Tartaglio Field, the lowest bid out of four that were received on 3-4-20.

091-20 Authorize application & acceptance of 2020 Distracted Driving Grant

This resolution applies and accepts grant funds in the amount of $5,500.00 to be used to target distracted drivers from April 1, 2020 through April 21, 2020.

092-20 Authorize application & acceptance of the 2020 Cops Hiring Grant

This resolution applies and accepts the 2020 Federal Department of Justice grant funds for the Cops Hiring program to fund the hiring of additional officers to increase community policing strategies over a three year period.

093-20 Authorize refund of overpaid taxes

This resolution authorizes a refund for overpaid taxes in the amount of $1,039.21.

094-20 Authorize cancellation of taxes for 2020 for recently acquired township property

This resolution authorizes cancelling taxes for 2020 for recently acquired township property on Roma Lane, block 654, lot 11

095-20 Authorize refund of overpaid taxes due to tax court judgment 

This resolution refunds overpaid taxes due to a judgment from a tax court appeal for block 985, lot 4.03, 319 S. Pitney Road.

096-20 Authorize execution of second amendment to redevelopment agreement with Whitman & authorizing consent to an assignment of redevelopment agreement from Whitman to NJR Clean Energy Ventures

This resolution authorizes the execution of a second amendment to the redevelopment agreement with Whitman and authorizes the mayor and township clerk to execute said amendment and assignment on behalf of the township.
