WASHINGTON- Congressman Jeff Van Drew announced his support for the ability of Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) to access funds made available during the COVID-19 emergency funding legislation. South Jersey is home to numerous DMOs, whose goal it is to promote and increase tourism and travel to certain areas.
“DMOs help our economy thrive in South Jersey,” said Congressman Van Drew. “We must include these groups in our legislation as they will help get our economy back to its feet when it is safe to be in public.”
Background: DMOs are typically non-profit, or partial government organizations that may be incorporated in a way that made them ineligible for funding under previous iterations of legislation.
