AtlantiCare welcomes leap year babies

Once every four years we add an extra day to the February calendar. The years when this occurs are known as a leap years. Babies born on February 29 join an exclusive club of people who technically celebrate their actual birth date every four years. As of 4:30 p.m. on February 29, four leap day babies had been born at AtlantiCare, a member of Geisinger.

Colson Desmarets-Warmoth born at 7:09 a.m. at the Roger B. Hansen Center for Childbirth at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC) Mainland Campus, Pomona, New Jersey, was among them. He weighed 8 pounds, 8.9 ounces; and was 21 inches long.

The parents are Destiny Desmarets, and Cyle Warmoth, of Absecon. Tahara Prescott-Palmer, certified nurse midwife, AtlantiCare Physician Group Obstetrics delivered the baby with the Center for Childbirth team.
