Absecon Memorial Day Parade Cancelled But Ceremony Still Planned

Charlie Rosenbaum the annual Absecon Memorial Day parade coordinator has determined that it is not possible to hold this year’s parade.

VFW Post 9462 and Last Salute Military Funeral Honor Guard have committed to conduct memorial honors. That ceremony normally immediately follows the parade at the veterans memorial in Absecon.

The memorial ceremony will take place at 11am on Memorial Day 2020. protocol and procedures are still being worked out as they pertain to social distancing. The ceremony will be conducted whether or not there is a public attendance.
