The Galloway Patriot newspaper is proud to support the United States Marine Corps – Toys for Tots program. As many of our friends and readers know, Galloway Patriot publishers, Chuck & Jaime Knutson, are both veteran Marines.
The Marine Corps League is the local coordinator for Toys for Tots. You can help us make Christmas miracles for needy Atlantic County children simply by donating a new, unwrapped toy. There are many local businesses that are helping collect toys. For a list, please follow this link – ATLANTIC COUNTY TOYS FOR TOTS DROP BOX LOCATIONS
Please make sure the drop box says “United States Marine Corp – Toys For Tots”. The Marine Corps Toys for Tots program has been around since 1947 and in 1995, the Secretary of Defense approved Toys for Tots as an official activity of the U. S. Marine Corps and an official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve.
Over its life span, the Marine Toys for Tots Program distributed over 469 million toys to over 216 million less fortunate children.
The Marine Corps Toys for Tots program is held in extremely high regard by all organizations which review and rate charities.
There are some unscrupulous people using similar sounding names and collection methods to capitalize on people’s trust of the United States Marine Corps so please verify that you are indeed donating to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.
The United States Marine Corps, the Marine Corps Foundation, the Marine Corps League, the Galloway Patriot newspaper, and the Knutson family thank you for your needed support. Most of all, our local children in need thank you.
