The Galloway Patriot newspaper’s Towne Center Halloween event held on Saturday, October 24th, was a huge success. Starting at the Municipal Building on Jimmie Leeds Road, children ages 12 and younger picked up trick-or-treat bags, candy and had their picture taken with the Galloway Patriot military trucks. Each child then visited the businesses in the town’s center where candy, fruit, popcorn and much more was handed out. Free activities throughout the day included, arts and crafts at the South Jersey Federal Credit Union, balloon creations at TD Bank, coloring contest at Ace Hardware and a costume contest at Risley Square.
Deputy Mayor Tony Coppola helped present the prizes while council member Rich Clute helped hand out candy.
The Galloway Twp. Police provided safe crossing across Jimmie Leeds Rd for all the families. They also handed out give-aways.
The Galloway Patriot would like to thank all involved in the event and we hope to make it even bigger next year.
