Stockton Opens New “Esports” Facility

Stockton University will host a media open house of its new esports facility from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26.
The new room, formerly a little-used computer lab in Commons Building 80, now boasts 15 state-of-the-art machines designed for online gaming and specialized chairs to provide students with maximum support for the shoulders and back.
Stockton is sponsoring competitive teams in Fortnite, Overwatch, League of
Legends, and Smash Brothers Ultimate as part of the Eastern College Athletic Conference. More than 50 students are currently competing.
The player training facility also features a variety of other games including
Hearthstone, Rocket League, and Apex Legends.
Participating students will be on site for interviews. Please RSVP to Diane
D’Amico. Photos and video will also be available.
Commons Building 80 is located on Oak Pond Drive off Vera King Farris Drive across from the Stockton Police Station.
