Once again the studenst at Roland Rogers not only Braved the Shave but Rocked It! On March 15th students and members of the community came together at Roland Rogers Elementary to kick off the St. Baldrick’s annual festivities. Officer Mulholland shaved his head to raise money for The St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Joining Officer Mulholland were Kaura, Tanner, Savanna, and Roman who also did their part to help conquer childhood cancer. On March 16th the students, staff, officers, parents, and families fighting childhood cancer gathered in the school cafeteria for the unveiling of the students who shaved or donated hair the night before as well as witness the faculty who were shaving that day in front of the students. The girls from Tangles Beauty Studio got their razors ready and began while the students cheered along. Throughout the morning Mr. Brian Dunn used a unique way to give out the donations from the local businesses to the classes. In the end all the students who shaved and donated the night before were called to the stage to reveal the amount raised as of 9:15am that morning. The total to date is now $23,136. What an outstanding job by all the students in raising not only this much money but awareness of childhood cancer. Galloway is Proud!
