Republicans Win Big in Galloway

The Republicans have won a big victory in Galloway Twp. NJ. If there are not a very large number of absentee ballots for the Democrats, Galloway will have an all Republican Town Council.

Mayor Don Purdy and Deputy Mayor Tony Coppola reflected on the win and told the Galloway Patriot that they “were pleased with the win and very happy to see Galloway residents supported all the positive changes they have made”. They also said they look forward to continuing efforts to draw jobs and business to Galloway to reduce property taxes for home-owners.

The final numbers at press time for us:

Coppola – 2650
DiPietro – 2427
Clute – 2309
Gorman – 2239
Pratt – 2043
Schurtz – 2185

The reasonably close margin shows that the Republicans will have to work hard to show the opposition that their plan and vision for Galloway’s future is the best one. With taxes and jobs such big concerns, many are watching closely.
