The Galloway Police are excited to offer a parent awareness symposium in cooperation with our partners, Stockton University, Atlanticare and the Greater Egg Harbor school district in the Coalition for a Safe Community. On Thursday evening May 5th, 2016 from 5:30 to 8:30 at the Stockton University Performing Arts Center, we have various speakers discussing issues affecting our children in the community. Issues such as Sexting, Cyberbullying, Teen Suicide and Social Media apps every parent should look for…The epidemic of prescription pill abuse leading to Heroin Addiction and so many unnecessary overdose deaths. If you want to be informed then please come out. A light dinner and beverages will be provided free of charge. Informational booths hosted by the Galloway Township Police Department on what to Look for when searching your child’s room for drug paraphernalia, Verizon Wireless and parental restriction tools; apps to look for and how to protect your children on the internet. Real life stories from local parents who have lost a child to heroin and positive stories of recovery. This is just a small glimpse. It is our responsibility to work with parents, schools and local healthcare to keep our children safe!
