Local young men and women wanting to join the Army were given a unique opportunity to try the “M.O.U.T.” (Military Operations on Urban Terrain) center at Fort Dix.  The Army facility has the latest technology combined with realistic surroundings for an immersive action experience.

The young men and women were taught the basics of room entry and clearing, use of a robot for surveillance and safety, how to move in a mock Afghanistan village, evacuating an injured person and were able to fire on the simulated range.

The event lasted most of the day and the Army even provided lunch.

The attendees came away excited to have learned so much in a such a short time.  They were very impressed by how advanced and technical todays Army has become.
