City of St. George
St. George, Utah
Summer 2024
63,000 sf Main Building | Four-Story, 300+ Parking Garage
The St. George region is among the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country, and the demand for services has strained the city’s existing municipal buildings. St. George’s new city hall was designed to expand the facilities to last for decades, giving the community the infrastructure to tackle its growing population for years to come. Galloway provided architecture, interior design, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, site design, and landscape architecture services for the new city hall and parking structure.
Through visioning workshops and site planning sessions with the city, Galloway successfully addressed the need for a distinctive design to complement the adjacent historic town square while also adding needed parking by connecting to a new four-story parking structure. The design also features a multifunctional plaza space for the residents to utilize and host events for the community.
The new facility will house city administration, legal services, administrative services, human resources, development services, engineering/public works, leisure services, and information technology.
