On Saturday, December 5, 2015, Galloway Community Services held the annual Santa Character Breakfast. This year’s breakfast, held at the Renault Winery, packed out two seating’s at 8:30am and 11:30am. As Beth Stasuk, Community Services Director, said, “This is what I like to call Organized Chaos”. Each table was called up to the buffet line while characters visited each table waiting. Frosty, Rudolph, Olaf, Queen Elsa, Spiderman, Captain America, Minion, the Moose and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Raphael went from table to table taking pictures, hugging and high fiving all the children. When all tables had made their way back from the buffet line, the room, led by Queen Elsa, sang “Here Comes Santa Claus” nice and loud so that Santa and Mrs. Claus would come down the stairs to greet everyone. The room roared with cheers from the children excited to see them. Santa and Mrs. Claus made a brief walk around the room and took their place in their thrones awaiting the eager children and their families for the long time tradition of sitting on Santa’s lap and telling him, what they want for Christmas as parents and grandparents stood by snapping photos to commemorate the wonderful day. A huge amount of gratitude is given to the staff of Galloway’s Community Services for capturing the true spirit of Christmas for the children and families of Galloway. If you didn’t make it this year plan for 2016 this is a must do event that puts a smile on everyone’s face.
