Assumption Regional Catholic School held its annual Christmas Pageant on Friday December 17,2016 at 7pm at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. The children were all dressed to the nines ready to perform Christmas music to a packed house of their families. Each of the grades from PreK to 8th grades each performed a song. Special recognition goes out to the third grades classes that sang “Silent Night” while doing sign language, the seventh and eighth grades performed acapella without a single music class. The teachers of the seventh and eighth grades were able to pull together their musical talents to prepare the children for such a wonderful night of joyous music. At the end of the performances, the winner of the essay contest entry read allowed by Father Nick Dudo. Each year they are given a topic to write an essay about and the winner, given a trip to Lancaster for a special Christmas event. This year’s winner announced by Father Nick Dudo, said that out of 115 entries it was very difficult to pick just one. He announced the top five entries and shook hands with each congratulating them on such an outstanding job on their essays. Congratulations to all the children for such a wonderful performance of Christmas music and to Sarah Reed for winning the essay contest.
