The Absecon American Legion raises money to buy and donate food once a year.  They take advantage of sales at local supermarkets to maximize the amount of food they can buy and then get it to the food bank.

The Galloway Patriot newspaper and the Marine Corps Veterans Direct Action Team along with the VFW Honor Guard joined the American Legion to deliver the food.

The Galloway Patriot’s military trucks were used to transport all the food.  We were honored to help the American Legion’s ongoing commitment to the community.

If you are a veteran, please consider joining or assisting one of the great veteran’s organizations in our community.  The VFW and American Legion are always looking for new members.   If you are a veteran or active duty Marine and want to be part of a team that supports these organizations as well as many other community services, contact the Marine Corps Veterans Direct Action Team .
