The Absegami High School Forensics Team hosted its annual tournament on September 9th and finished in second place in the competition, winning 11 separate individual awards. Leading the team were seniors Michael Moore and Saverio Turrano, who took first place in Improvisational Pairs and Reader’s Theatre along with teammate Zach Hassel. Moore also won third place in drama pairs with junior Miranda Muniz and third place in musical pairs with Hassel. Turrano also won first place in drama monologue. Other award winners included C. J Coyle, who won first place in impromptu speaking and second place in prose interpretation, Natalie Frantz, who won fourth place in persuasive speaking and fifth place in musical pairs with Miranda Muniz, Zach Hassel, who won fourth place in poetry interpretation and Bart Machula, who won second place in drama monologue.

Absegami will continue its season at Northern Burlington on January 16th, Dumont High School on January 23rd, Kingsway Regional High School on January 30th, Eastern Regional High School on February 6th and at the New Jersey Drama & Forensics League State Championship at Raritan High School on February 27th.
